Melanie Weseman is a Partner at Kelley Kronenberg, where she assists in handling matters related to all aspects of first-party insurance defense.
Upon graduating from law school, Melanie began her career at the Palm Beach County Public Defender’s Office, where she argued before the Fourth District Court of Appeals and handled first-, second-, and third-degree felonies. She later transitioned to collections law, gaining extensive experience litigating credit card, personal, commercial, and student loan cases throughout Florida’s state and federal courts.
Melanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Kent State University. During her last semester of school, Melanie interned for the United States Department of Defense, Pentagon, in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia Affairs. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law. During law school, Melanie was the Articles Editor for Law Review and was on both the Moot Court and Trial Competition Traveling Teams. Melanie also held a Judicial Externship, in the summer, with the Honorable Daniel T.K. Hurley, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
