Donovan Beckwith is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing his practice on the defense of first-party property insurance matters.

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Donovan worked as an associate attorney representing insurance companies and insured clients in civil litigation matters including personal injury, premises liability, product liability, and property damage claims, where he conducted fact investigation and claim analysis, drafted pleadings and discovery, managed depositions, and appeared in court for hearings and conferences. He also worked as an associate attorney managing construction and surety litigation matters, where he drafted and filed pleadings, dispositive motions, and memoranda of law, managed all phases of discovery including depositions and expert witness preparation, and assisted in settlement negotiations and mediations.

Donovan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Business Administration from Louisiana State University, where he received the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students Scholarship and the Ben & Clare Thibodeaux Academic Scholarship. He received his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List, and received CALI Awards in Advanced Legal Writing and Business Entities. While pursuing his law degree, he served as a student worker at the Southern University Law Clinic.

Donovan is a certified mediator in Louisiana and Mississippi, bringing valuable alternative dispute resolution skills to his insurance defense practice.
