Beatriz Suzuki is a Partner in Kelley Kronenberg’s Health Law Division, focusing her practice on litigation for health care institutions and practitioners.
Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Beatriz worked as a senior litigation associate attorney serving as claimant and plaintiff counsel on multi-million-dollar contract disputes. Beatriz handled complex commercial arbitrations and out-of-network insurance recovery lawsuits through final judgment. She second chaired AAA arbitrations and argued in preliminary hearings before panels of arbitrators and state and federal judges, as well as took and defended depositions of corporate representatives and expert witnesses. Additionally, Beatriz previously worked as a health law associate attorney representing medical providers and facilities on out-of-network insurance recovery lawsuits and on medical malpractice lawsuits in New York and Florida, where she drafted pleadings, attended court proceedings, and negotiated global settlements with national health insurance companies. Her experience also includes serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Richmond County, New York, where she served as lead attorney from arraignment to trial on over one hundred criminal court cases with a focus on special victims and animal cruelty units.
Beatriz earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Hospitality Management from Florida International University, where she was a member of the Honors College and recognized on the Dean’s List. She received her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Academic Merit Scholarship, NAPABA Scholarship, Yates Memorial Scholarship, and Bohler Award.
