Elbert Reniva is a Partner and Business Unit Leader in Kelley Kronenberg’s Real Estate Division, focusing his practice on commercial real estate, residential real estate, and corporate law. He brings over twenty-five years of experience as both a commercial and real estate attorney and seasoned business executive, successfully representing public and private companies, governmental entities, and individual clients.
Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Elbert served as partner and shareholder at a law firm, where he practiced commercial and residential real estate and corporate law. He previously served as Of Counsel at a law firm and as a partner at another firm for fourteen years. His extensive in-house experience includes serving as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for a development group for over seven years, where he oversaw legal affairs and corporate governance for a major real estate development company. He began his legal career as an associate attorney at multiple law firms handling real estate and corporate transactions. Elbert has represented commercial developers, investors, national homebuilders, private equity firms, and institutional and hard money lenders in matters including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, investment and joint venture portfolios, construction and permanent loans, regulatory compliance, asset sales and purchases, and loan documentation and restructuring.
Elbert earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois Chicago. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
