Elise Sosa is a Partner at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing her practice on general liability and third-party insurance defense matters. She has extensive experience litigating New York Labor Law claims, insurance coverage disputes, and commercial matters in both state and federal courts. 

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Elise served as a Senior Associate at a prominent New York law firm as a member of the construction litigation team defending general contractors and insurers. She conducted 50-h statutory hearings, depositions, and site investigations, argued motions and appeals, and developed new client relationships while overseeing all aspects of case handling and client communications. She supervised and trained new associates and support staff, demonstrating her leadership capabilities. Her trial experience includes witness and expert witness preparation, pre-trial motions, jury selection, second seat trial through verdict, and post-trial motions.  

During law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Linda Christopher at the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division reviewing appellate briefs and formulating recommendations, and as a legal intern representing clients petitioning for guardianship and special immigration juvenile status. 

Elise earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University. She received her Master of Arts in Teaching in Social Studies from Binghamton University Graduate School of Education and her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, where she received a Dean’s Scholarship for full tuition, the Catalyst Public Interest Summer Fellowship,  the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Professional Responsibility, and the Justice Louis Wallach Memorial Award.
