Joana Coloma is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing her practice on general liability and third-party insurance defense and workers’ compensation matters.
Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Joana worked as an Associate at a New York law firm, where she assisted in developing defense strategies in general liability and insurance defense claims, tried and defended complex high-exposure workers’ compensation disputes, and developed strategies for defense of accepted workers’ compensation claims from inception through resolution. She also served as a law clerk at the firm, where she assisted attorneys with preparation for insurance defense trials and conducted legal research on premises liability and personal injury legislation. During law school, she served as a Student Attorney with a family law clinic in Syracuse, where she interviewed and counseled clients on family law matters, and as a legal intern, where she represented clients in landlord-tenant proceedings and conducted legal research and discovery.
Joana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sciences from Florida International University. She received her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as Vice President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions, Student Leader for Transformative Dialogue on Diversity, and member of the Latin American Law Student Association.
