Markiesha Morgan

Attorney

Markiesha Morgan is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing her practice on general liability and third-party insurance defense matters.

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Markiesha worked as an associate attorney at a law firm handling first-party property cases. In that role, she drafted legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; conducted legal research and analysis to support case strategy; and collaborated with expert witnesses and adjusters to assess damage and liability issues. During law school, Markiesha gained substantial courtroom and litigation experience. She served as a law clerk at a firm where she conducted legal research, prepared discovery requests and responses, and analyzed investigative materials. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of Public Defender, where she represented clients in court for motions and hearings, conducted full trials under attorney supervision, conducted depositions, interviewed witnesses, and drafted various motions including motions to suppress evidence and motions to dismiss.

Markiesha graduated magna cum laude from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and a minor in Communication Studies, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List, received the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network Scholarship Award and Peggy Ryan Williams Award for Academic and Community Leadership, and served as Vice President and Tournament Director of the Ithaca College Mock Trial Team. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, where she received the Criminal Litigation Perspectives Book Award and a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award, served as an FSU Trial Team Advocate, and was nominated as FJA Best Advocate.
