Max Hagan-Camp is an attorney at Kelley Kronenberg in the First-Party Property Insurance Defense Division.

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Max served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of New Orleans, where he handled complex litigation before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Louisiana Court of Appeal, and Civil District Court. His litigation practice included administrative law, tort claims, and contract disputes, with experience in multi-party complex litigation, employment disputes, and administrative hearings. He also specialized in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating for municipal departments, including contracts related to loans, professional services, grant agreements, and regulatory compliance with federal funding requirements. His experience negotiating loan agreements, mortgages, and regulatory agreements for HUD-funded affordable housing projects provided him with strong understanding of risk allocation, property interests, and contractual protection mechanisms. Max began his legal career handling labor matters as a Federal Representative with the National Association of Government Employees, where he negotiated settlements and resolved employment disputes through the grievance process.

Max earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Women’s Studies and Master of Arts in Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Journal of Law & Sexuality.
