Stephen Wilson is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing his practice on the defense of general liability and third-party insurance defense matters, including premises liability, products liability, negligent security, and commercial trucking and transportation.
Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Stephen worked as defense counsel for various insurance companies defending first-party property lawsuits, where he defended cases from inception through discovery, took and defended depositions of fact and expert witnesses, and participated in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. He previously worked as an attorney representing plaintiffs and insureds in first-party property matters at multiple firms, managing files from inception through trial with extensive experience in depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. His experience also includes serving as team lead attorney supervising five litigation attorneys and twelve paralegals handling contested litigated foreclosure trials, as a litigation attorney at multiple firms providing representation to financial institutions in contested foreclosure cases, and as a litigation attorney for civil defense firms representing clients in products liability, toxic tort, premises liability, and auto negligence suits.
Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, where he received the Evidence Book Award and Corporations Book Award, was a Goodwin Fellow Scholarship recipient, served on the Nova Law Review as Jr. Staff Member, Source Editor, and Sr. Staff Member, and was recognized on the Dean’s List. During law school, he served as a law clerk intern for the United States Attorney’s Office Economic Crime Division.
Prior to law school, Stephen owned and operated a private investigation business conducting background and surveillance investigations for insurance adjustors and defense attorneys, providing him with valuable investigative skills that enhance his litigation practice.
