Tim Armstrong is a Partner and Business Unit Leader at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing his practice on complex commercial litigation, family law, criminal defense, and general liability and third-party insurance defense. He brings over two decades of diverse litigation experience spanning insurance defense, criminal prosecution and defense, civil litigation, and corporate matters.

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Tim served as Of Counsel at a law firm representing defendants in complex civil litigation including automobile cases, premises liability, wrongful death actions, and HOA litigation. He represented major carriers, international corporate clients, and various hotel and property management companies. He was previously the founder and manager of The Armstrong Law Group, handling a comprehensive practice including civil litigation, corporate matters, plaintiff representation, and criminal defense. Over his career, he has represented over 200 civil clients, over 1,200 criminal defendants, and defended complex insurance defense cases for major the country’s largest insurers. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked as an associate attorney in insurance defense and as an Assistant Public Defender, where he maintained an average caseload of over 150 clients at any given time and was selected in 2002 as the only Assistant Public Defender to attend the Advanced Trial Institute at Mercer University School of Law.

Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. He received his Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance and International Finance from American University. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as a member and editor of the Business Law Review and received the Best Brief award in Advanced Moot Court.

Tim has extensive teaching experience, serving as an Adjunct Professor at Webster University, where he taught Business Law and International Finance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including classes at Jacksonville Naval Air Station, and at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where he taught Legal Research and Writing in the Paralegal Professional Program.
