Our History

In 1980, Kelley Kronenberg was founded when Bud Adams, Charles Kelley, and Steven Kronenberg established their law practice in Miami, Florida. Over the following three decades, the firm steadily expanded throughout Florida. The leadership torch passed to Michael Fichtel, Howard Wander, and Heath Eskalyo, who became partners and later assumed the roles of CEO, COO, and CPO, respectively. Under their guidance, the firm has flourished, expanding to 18 offices across eight states.

Below is a timeline highlighting the key milestones and dates that have shaped Kelley Kronenberg’s growth from our founding to the present day.

Our History

In 1980, Kelley Kronenberg was founded when Bud Adams, Charles Kelley, and Steven Kronenberg established their law practice in Miami, Florida. Over the following three decades, the firm steadily expanded throughout Florida. The leadership torch passed to Michael Fichtel, Howard Wander, and Heath Eskalyo, who became partners and later assumed the roles of CEO, COO, and CPO, respectively. Under their guidance, the firm has flourished, expanding to 20 offices across nine states.

1980     Kelley Kronenberg opened its first office in Miami, followed by a second in Fort Lauderdale.
1987     Michael Fichtel, our current CEO, joined the firm.
1988     Howard Wander, our current COO, joined the firm.
1994     The firm opened its West Palm Beach office to meet growing demand.
1995     Heath Eskalyo, our current CPO, joined the firm.
1998     The firm opened its Orlando office and established its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale.
1999     Kelley Kronenberg commenced a practice area diversification plan, resulting in record growth over the next two decades.
2008    The firm opened an office in Tampa.
2011      Kelley Kronenberg expanded by opening offices in Chicago and Tallahassee.
2015     The firm opened an office in Atlanta by appointment only.
2019     The firm opened an office in Jacksonville and completed construction of its new Fort Lauderdale headquarters, reaching 300 employees.
2020    The firm opened offices in Daytona Beach, Naples, and New Orleans.
2021     The firm opened an office in Short Hills.
2022     New offices opened in Indianapolis, Merrillville, New York, and added a second building to its Fort Lauderdale headquarters.
2024     Kelley Kronenberg expanded to Dallas and Albany, reaching 500 employees.
