Sam Itayim

Chair, Personal Lines Auto, Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault, Fraud Defense/SIU Divisions

Sam Itayim serves as Chair of the Personal Lines Auto, Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault, and Fraud Defense/SIU Divisions at Kelley Kronenberg. In this role, he oversees a multistate team of attorneys handling a wide spectrum of auto liability, personal injury protection (PIP), and insurance fraud litigation. Sam’s leadership focuses on strategic case management, fraud detection, and defense coordination for personal lines insurers, with an emphasis on efficiency, consistency, and measurable results across jurisdictions.

With over thirteen years of diverse litigation experience, Sam has built a practice centered on insurance defense, special investigations (SIU), and complex fraud matters, while also maintaining a strong background in commercial litigation. His expertise includes fraud investigation, no-fault, auto liability claims, health law, and risk mitigation, as well as representation of commercial clients in business acquisitions, contract negotiations, and real estate transactions.

A recognized thought leader in the field, Sam has been a featured speaker at the Florida Insurance Fraud Educational Committee (FIFEC) Conference in 2021, 2023, and 2024, where he presented on emerging trends and litigation strategies in PIP and SIU/Fraud cases.

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Sam was a Shareholder at a large civil litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale, where he managed high-volume litigation portfolios and advised major insurers on fraud prevention and litigation strategy.

Sam earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida, where he was inducted into Florida Blue Key, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2012.
