Overview

Talya Haas is a Practice Partner at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing her practice on labor and employment. Talya represents clients in state and federal civil litigation matters in a full range of employment-related claims including sexual harassment, employment discrimination, wage and hour claims, wrongful discharge, and retaliation. She advises clients on compliance with local laws and regulations, counsels clients during agency investigations and, if necessary, represents clients in subsequent litigation.  

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, she served as an Associate Attorney, providing counsel and guidance to clients in complex employment litigation cases. Her responsibilities included proactively preparing and recommending compliant terms for employee handbooks, ensuring alignment with best practices regarding federal and state laws of hiring, discipline, leave issues, termination, ADA, and FMLA, and implementing and structuring robust employment policies. She also has extensive experience representing clients in third-party litigation matters including complex commercial disputes, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury negligence claims.  

Originally a South African native, Talya earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Florida International University.  She went on to achieve her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, receiving the Silver Pro Bono Honors Distinction and making the Dean’s list. She also served as the Junior Associate Editor of the Nova Law Review, Executive Coordinator of the Nova Trial Association, Advocate in the Moot Court Honor Society, and President of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
