FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – [September 30, 2026] – Kelley Kronenberg is pleased to announce that Scott D. Kagan has been named a Rising Star by New York Upstate Super Lawyers. 

The Rising Stars designation recognizes attorneys through independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations across 12 indicators of professional achievement. It is a selective honor within the Super Lawyers program, awarded to a limited percentage of attorneys in the state. 

Scott is a Partner and Business Unit Leader in Kelley Kronenberg’s General Liability and Third-Party Insurance Defense Division. He focuses his practice on complex litigation, with an emphasis on construction cases and New York Labor Law. He represents property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and Controlled Insurance Program sponsors in both Owner Controlled Insurance Programs and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs, and his experience covers Labor Law 240, 241, and 200 claims across commercial construction projects ranging from large developments such as hotels and schools to smaller commercial buildings and private homes. 

Beyond construction, Scott handles product liability, trucking and commercial transportation, and premises liability matters, providing counsel to clients throughout New York and across multiple jurisdictions. He also serves as a Team Lead on the firm’s Fraud Fighters Team.
